


DAY1. ARRIVAL – VIENTIANE – CITY TOUR
On arrival in Vientiane, you will be met and transferred to your hotel.
Located on the banks of the Mekong River, Vientiane is a charming and fascinating capital, with an interesting mix of Lao, Thai, Chinese, Vietnamese, French, Soviet and American influences. A city tour will acquaint you with the capital and after freshening up, start visiting some of the major sights; including the oldest temple Wat Sisaket, an amazing structure featuring remarkable frescoes and Buddha images.
Also visit the former royal temple of Wat Prakeo, which previously housed the famous Emerald Buddha Image.
Enroute to Lao’s national precious heritage, the famous and sacred structure of That Luang Stupa, you will have the opportunity to take some pictures of the imposing Patuxay Monument, which is well known as Vientiane’s own Arc de Triumph.

DAY2. VIENTIANE – LUANG PRABANG – HALFDAY TOUR
Today, you will be transferred to the airport for a short flight journey to Luang Prabang, which is perhaps the best-preserved traditional city in Southeast Asia. After checking into your hotel, visit the impressive stupa of Wat Visoun and the shrines of Wat Aham and Wat Mai.
Then climb up to the top of Mount Phousi to explore the sacred, gilded stupa as well as have a beautiful view of the city and the Mekong River at sunset.
From there, explore the Night Market, where you can browse a lovely selection of handmade textiles made by the local people and hill tribes surrounding Luang Prabang.

DAY3. LUANG PRABANG – PAK OU CAVES
After breakfast, visit The National Museum at the former Royal Palace, which displays a lovely collection of the artifacts reflecting the richness of Lao culture dating from the days of the early kings right through to the last sovereign.
Continue to explore some of the major sights in this faboulous city, including the city’s oldest temple of Wat Sene, the magnificent Wat Xiengthong, its exterior architecture is remarkable with decorated guilded stuccoes and doorways, a “tree of life” mosaic pattern set in coloured glass on the back wall and its three tiered roofs sweeping low to the ground representing classical Laotian architecture.
Afternoon, embark on a cruise upstream on the Mekong River, which also gives you a breathtaking view of the tranquil countryside as well as explore the mysterious Pak Ou Caves, two linked caves crammed with thousands of gold lacquered Buddha statues of various shapes and sizes left by pilgrims.
Along the way, stop at the village of Ban Xanghai, where they make the local rice wine.
On return, take a short drive to Ban Xangkhong, a village well known for its silk weavings and for its Saa (jute) Papermaking and Ban Phanom, a small village known for its hand weaving.
Overnight in Luang Prabang.
DAY4. LUANG PRABANG – DEPARTURE
Breakfast at hotel,
Post breakfast yiu will be transferred to the hotel for your flight back.
