Day 1: Arrival at Guwahati and transfer to Tezpur

On arrival at Guwahati Airport / Railway Station you will be met and transferred to Tezpur. 

Enjoy the drive through lush green country side with tea gardens spreading to the horizon against the backdrop of the mountain ranges and flanked by the mighty Brahmaputra.

On arrival at Tezpur check in to your hotel and have the evening free at leisure to stroll in the local markets for traditional handicrafts.  Overnight at Tezpur.

Day 2: Tezpur to Dirang

After an early breakfast, check out from your hotel and embark on a drive to Dirang in Arunachal Pradesh. 

Reach Dirang in the afternoon and after check in and lunch rest for a while before exploring this beautiful hill station. Dirang, located in the West Kameng district at an altitude of 5000 ft is a treat for naturalists with its beautiful apple and kiwi farms, hot water springs, Yak Research & Breeding Center, scenic villages set amidst hills and meandering river. 

Relax in the serenity of the place before returning to your hotel for overnight stay.

Day 3: Dirang to Tawang

After breakfast start on your journey to the crowning glory of Arunachal Pradesh- Tawang.  Keeping aside the road conditions , this spectacular journey would be etched on your minds forever.  As the road climbs up and away from Dirang, the villages and populace thins out and you will have the Dirang Chu river in all its enthusiasm to keep fleeting company for a while.  The road passes through Senge, Baisakhi, Sela Pass which at 13,700 ft is the second highest motorable pass on the planet!   The clouds rising from the ravines and valleys below tend to engulf the road in tracts and the fickle weather exhibits its mood swings.

 Halt at the Paradise Lake, Jaswant Garh , Jung Waterfalls which would be a flashback from the Shah Rukh Khan & Madhuri Dixit starrer Koyla.  The last leg of the tour from Jung Falls will finally bring you literally to the top of the world when you reach Tawang.

Check in to your hotel after a journey which you will cherish forever.  The evening is free to explore Tawang town on your own followed by overnight stay.

Day 4 and Day 5: In Tawang

We have kept the two days at Tawang for you to explore the town, its scenic surroundings and attractions which needless to say are many! While in Tawang it is highly recommended that you visit:

The Bap Teng Kang (BTK) Waterfalls located 80 kms from Tawang where the water falls from a height of 100 ft.

P.T. Tso Lake located 23 kms from Tawang

Tawang Monastery which is the largest in the country.

Urgelling Monastery located 5 kms from the town.

War Memorial – A 40 ft high memorial built as a mark of respect for the valiant Indian Army soldiers who were martyred in the 1962 Indo China war.

Trying out local cuisine, exploring the surrounding on foot and soaking in the culture of the land is a good way to idle your time in this supremely beautiful place.

Day 6: Tawang to Dirang

Today after an early breakfast start on the first leg of your return journey to Dirang, through Sela Pass.  Overnight at Dirang.

Day 7: Dirang to Tezpur

After breakfast head for Tezpur and get a much deserved rest after the journey in the Arunachal hills.  Overnight at Tezpur.

Day 8: Tezpur to Guwahati

Today you will check out from Tezpur and will be transferred to Guwahati Airport / Railway Station for your journey back home.

Note:  Tezpur is connected by air from Kolkata and you can opt for the tour to commence and culminate here.  The itinerary can be suitably altered.
