Day 1: Bagdogra Airport - Gangtok

On arrival at Bagdogra Airport, you will be met by our representative and start your transfer trip to Gangtok (120 kilometres and 4 hours). Check in to your hotel. Evening is free at leisure. You can stroll on the MG Road (Mall) to get your first feel of the hills. Overnight at Gangtok.

Day 2: Excursion to Baba Mandir – Tsongmo Lake

After an early breakfast, start on a full day sightseeing trip to Tsongmo Lake (approximately 40 kilometres) which is on the road to the Indo-China border. This lake, pronounced by many as 'Chaangu Lake', is fed by the melting snows of the adjoining mountains. Enjoy a Yak ride around the lake and then proceed to Baba Mandir which is a further 10 Kilometre towards the border.

Baba Mandir, located at an elevation of 13100 feet, is dedicated to Harbhajan Singh, a Major of the 23rd Punjab Regiment of Indian Army who died at the age of 26 during an encounter with the Chinese Red Army.

Return to Gangtok by evening.  Evening is free for leisure followed by overnight stay at Gangtok.

Day 3: Gangtok to Lachen

After an early breakfast, start for your tour of North Sikkim. The first leg of the journey will be from Gangtok to Lachen (120 kilmetres / 6 hours), a drive through mesmerizing scenic beauty.

Enroute stop to visit Tashi View Point, Seven Sisters and the Naga Water Falls. Take a break in your journey to rest and have lunch at Mangan and continue your journey to reach Lachen, situated at an elevation of 8800 feet. Arrive at Lachen by evening and check in to your hotel. Overnight at Lachen.

Day 4: Lachen to Lachung via Gurudongmar Lake

Early in the morning, start on a once in a lifetime journey to Gurudongmar Lake. Ascend uphill and reach Gurudongmar Lake -located at an altitude of 17,800 feet, this lake is arguably the most coveted destination in Sikkim. From end of December to mid-March, the lake remains frozen and the entire region receives very heavy snowfall sometimes cutting off the roads and making it inaccessible. After spending a while in this spectacular place, return to Lachen. After lunch, check out and embark on your drive to Lachung situated at 8000 feet which would take one and a half to two hours depending on road conditions. On arrival, check in at your hotel and have the rest of the day to yourself in this quaint town. Overnight at Lachung.

Day 5: Lachung to Yumthang Valley

After breakfast, start for an excursion to Yumthang Valley. One of the most beautiful places in Sikkim, this valley is a riot of colours in the spring for which it is fondly known as the Valley Of Flowers. The visit to the Rhododendron Sanctuary and the other attraction – The Hot Springs are every tourist’s delight. 

The next leg of the journey takes you to Zero Point, where you can play around in the snow while admiring the natural splendour, before your return drive to Lachung for overnight stay.

Day 6: Lachung to Gangtok

After breakfast, start on your journey back to Gangtok. Reach Gangtok by evening, check in to your hotel and catch your breath after a stupendous experience up in North Sikkim. Rest of the evening is for rest and leisure. Overnight at Gangtok.

Day 7:  Gangtok to Bagdogra / NJP

After breakfast, check out and start on your return journey to Bagdogra Airport / NJP Railway Station.
