


Day 1: Arrival and transfer to Gangtok
On arrival at Bagdogra Airport / New Jalpaiguri (NJP) Railway Station, board your vehicle for a drive to Gangtok. Arrive at Gangtok, the capital of Sikkim, located at an elevation of 5700 ft and check in to your hotel. You may like to visit M.G. Marg, the shopping & eatery hub of the town or just idle around the quaint and vibrant town. Overnight at Gangtok.
Day 2: Excursion to Tsongmo Lake & Baba Mandir
After an early breakfast, start on a full day sightseeing trip to Tsongmo Lake (approximately 40 kilometres) which is on the road to the Indo-China border. This lake, pronounced by many as “Chaangu Lake” is fed by the melting snows of the adjoining mountains.
Enjoy a Yak ride around the lake and then proceed to Baba Mandir, which is a further 10 Kilometre towards the border. Baba Mandir, located at an elevation of 13100 ft is dedicated to Harbhajan Singh, a Major of the 23rd Punjab Regiment of Indian Army who died at the age of 26 during an encounter with the Chinese Red Army. Legend has it that he was drowned in a glacier while leading a column of mules to ferry supplies to a border outpost. The shrine was built in his honour and a common belief is that his spirit protects the Indian soldiers in this hostile terrain.
Return to Gangtok by evening. Evening is free for leisure followed by overnight stay.
Day 3: Gangtok Sightseeing and transfer to Darjeeling
After an early breakfast check out and proceed to visit Ranka Monastery, Do Drul Chorten & Rumtek Monastery. Later, you will be transferred to Darjeeling, a journey of 90 kilometres/4 hours through hills and tea gardens.
Check in to your hotel in Darjeeling. The evening is free to laze around in the Chowrasta (popularly known as Mall), sipping on Darjeeling Tea. Overnight at your hotel.
Day 4: Sightseeing in Darjeeling
Get ready to leave your hotel at around 3:30 to 4:00 a.m. to visit the Tiger Hill for viewing arguably one of the world’s best known sunrise sightings. On a clear and cloudless morning, you will be awestruck by the magnificent sunrise over the Kanchenjunga range.
Return to the hotel for breakfast. Later, you will start on a sightseeing tour of the well known landmarks of Darjeeling - namely Darjeeling Zoo, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Tenzing Rock. Drive past the renowned schools and spend some time in a tea garden on the outskirts of town.
Return to your hotel. The rest of the day is free for exploring the town on your own.
Day 5: Darjeeling to Kurseong
After breakfast, walk down to the Darjeeling Station to take a ride on the UNESCO World Heritage – the one and only 'Toy Train' for chugging back and forth across the sleepy town of Ghoom. Stop and marvel at the Batasia Loop, an exemplary feat of engineering where the train takes a turn. Return and check out from your hotel. You will be transferred to Kurseong.
Enroute visit to world renowned tea gardens of the Darjeeling district.
Located at an elevation of 4700 ft, Kurseong is a picturesque town nestled between rolling tea gardens and mountain ranges. It is renowned for its boarding schools and tea gardens like Makaibari, Castleton, Ambootia and Goomtee. Arrive in this quaint town and check in at your hotel. In the evening visit the world famous Makaibari Tea Estate & Castleton Tea Estate to get a first hand feel of the tea gardens. Enjoy a scrumptious Anglo Indian dinner meal, featuring recipes from the British Raj. Overnight in Kurseong
Day 6: Tea Tour in Kurseong
After breakfast, visit the renowned organic and biodynamic Ambootia Tea Factory, which is home to some of the most exclusive and expensive tea in the world. Also, visit the scenic Shiv Mandir on the tea estate, set under a magnificent Rudraksh berry and orange grove. The audio guided tour with packed lunch on the go takes you through the tea estate and explains the tea making process. This is followed by a Tea Sampling Session with a variety of Darjeeling teas.
Overnight in Kurseong.
Day 7 : Departure from Kurseong
After breakfast check out and idle your time in the quaint town before starting on your return journey to NJP / Bagdogra .
